OPTIONS OPEN FOR MASON PAIR Connections will wait until the last minute before deciding whether Red Ark and Red Marauder will run in Saturday`s Tripleprint Gold Cup at Cheltenham. The Norman Mason-trained pair are both in the #80,000 feature, while Red Ark has an alternative engagement in the extended two-mile Wragge & Co Handicap Chase on the same card. Jockey Richard Guest, assistant to Mason, said today: 'We won`t make a decision until the morning but they are both fine today - they had a pop over a fence and a canter this morning. 'We`ll see what the weather does and they`ll do their blow at a quarter to eight in the morning and we`ll see how they come out of that. 'They are both able to run in the race but we`ll just decide whether to run both, or run Red Ark in the other race, or keep one and run the other.' Red Ark, a winner at Newbury last month, is a 7-1 chance with Ladbrokes for Saturday`s big race, while stablemate Red Marauder, fifth behind King`s Road in the Hennessy Cognac Gold Cup, is available at 12-1 with the Harrow firm.
