O’Sullivan looking forward to next season with Diesel Ross O’Sullivan was delighted with the performance of Switch From Diesel after she claimed runner-up spot in Grade 1 company at Punchestown yesterday. The Yeats filly chased home Bambino Fever in the big bumper at the Kildare venue having won her previous two outings. She had also bumped into the dual top level winner at the Dublin Racing festival earlier in the season and O’Sullivan is excited to see his charge over jumps next season. “She ran a cracker. I was getting very excited two furlongs out when I thought it might happen," said the Kill handler. “I’d say we just ran into a very good filly, it’s just one of those years. “Our filly is going out on grass now and I can’t wait to she goes jumping next year. “She’s a good mare, the best I’ve ever had. I can’t wait until Galway comes and we’re bringing her back in out of the field. “She has a big engine and travels really well. The winner beat her seven-and-a-half lengths at Leopardstown’s Dublin Racing festival and we got within two-and-a-quarter lengths today. “My filly has probably improved through the spring. “She has already schooled, she jumps well and will be a lovely mare for a mare’s novice next year. We’ll probably meet her (Bambino Fever) again, but anyway! “We’ll be dreaming about her all summer and it’s great to have her.”
