Our Lucky Lady proved a facile winner of the two-mile Boylesports (0-60) Handicap for trainer Paul Fahey and jockey Jessica O'Gorman.

The 11/4 favourite settled well throughout the contest and travelled strongly into the straight. When asked to extend by O'Gorman, she duly obliged, quickening clear of her rivals in impressive fashion.

From there, the result was never in doubt as Our Lucky Lady powered away and was eased down close home to record a commanding four-and-a-half-length success.

Jockey Jessica O'Gorman said: "I've had four rides here and two winners, so it is great.

"The boys really liked this mare, and she was showing plenty at home last year. We ran her a few times, and she never finished out her race. She was just running too keen and being too gassy. She went hurdling and seems to love it.

"She actually loved that.

"Well done to Paul - he only has a handful of horses, but he is well able to train them. He is spot on and he really fancied her today. I'm delighted, they are all a good team.

"We kind of steadied it up a bit going down the hill and I knew she would stay, so I said, 'I'm going to kick and stretch' and it just seemed to play to my advantage. I'm delighted I did that. She seemed to do it well and she enjoyed it.

"Paul is not here today, he is at a wedding so hopefully he is celebrating there! I think there was a bit of money for her, so I'm sure they all had a fiver on her!

"I'm very lucky I'm getting a load of opportunities. I have great people behind me. That's my first winner of the year, so hopefully we can keep going from that. It is a bit of a confidence boost."
