Nessa Joyce of Leopardstown racecourse expressed herself "very happy" with a crowd of 5,057 for today's meeting.

She went on: "There was quite a good uptake for our 20 Euro offer for admittance for the two days. We're forecast some rain but hopefully the crowd tomorrow will be a good bit bigger."

The Tote aggregate for today was €151,752 compared with a Sunday figure last year of €195,037. (AM & EM)
