Oxx hoping rain stays away for Stars Sea The Stars' trainer John Oxx is hoping for little rain between now and the Juddmonte International at York on August 18th. The Group One 10-furlong contest on the Knavesmire is still the next port of call for the brilliant 2000 Guineas, Derby and Eclipse winner - providing the going is suitable. The Currabeg handler said: "That's still the plan. The weather is a worry but if the going is good he'll be there." The Coral-Eclipse has received a significant boost in the last week with Conduit winning the King George and Rip Van Winkle landing the Sussex, but Oxx is confident the latter would be incapable of reversing the form. "The Eclipse is there for all to see. We beat him fair and square at Sandown and my fellow was idling bit at the end." Sea The Stars could drop back to a mile himself in the QEII at Ascot, where he could meet Rip Van Winkle for a fourth time. "It's there as nother option but it's totally weather dependent," Oxx told At The Races. "Distance doesn't seem to bother him."
