Oxx reports Stars in great form

Sea The Stars was today reported in great form after yesterday's masterful performance in the Tattersalls Millions Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown.

Trainer John Oxx is delighted with the way the superstar colt came out of the race, which was his fifth Group One success of the season.

Mick Kinane only had to ask his mount to quicken to account for top quality colts in Fame And Glory and Mastercraftsman and the race seems to have taken little out of Christopher Tsui's colt.

"He's fine - no problems at all. He's fresh and well. It was the easiest day of the year for him as he had no flight after the race," said Oxx.

"He was very fresh and well and ate up. I couldn't be happier with him, he took the race great.

"He was home before me and ate his dinner before I got mine! It was a nice day for him."

The Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe remains the next target although, as ever, the ground has to be suitable.

Oxx added: "We'll watch the horse for the next week or 10 days and let him tell us how he is.

"I noticed at Longchamp today the ground was good to soft and they seemed to be kicking it up a bit.

"The French trainers will tell you Longchamp can turn very quick and we'll just have to wait until closer to the time to see how it is."
