Paddy Power profits rise

Irish Bookmaker Paddy Power has released positive figures for 2012 with operating profit up 14% to €136m.

Paddy Power, which has recently entered betting markets in Australia, Canada, France and Italy said trading had benefitted from favourable sports results with revenues up 19%.

Mobile is the big growth area for the firm with net revenues up 185% to €129m and now represents 32% of total online revenues.
