Tony Martin, who famously claimed the Thyestes Chase back in 2006 when Dun Doire came in as a reserve to land a gamble, is unsure as to how his team might take shape for the Goffs-backed three-mile-one-furlong stamina test at Gowran on January 23.

Despite the John Breslin-owned Wrong Turn looking like the progressive type that often flourishes in such an event, Martin said: "We'll see closer to the time. I don't have it (the Thyestes) in mind for Wrong Turn though. He wouldn't even get in on a mark of 115.

"You need at least a 120 horse to get into it - they only take 18 (runners) around Gowran.

"Sraid Padraig (missed the Paddy Power at Leopardstown as he was coughing) will be entered there all right."

Meanwhile, having been delighted to see Benefficient confirmed the winner of the Grade One Paddy Power Dial-A-Bet Chase after the appeal of Hidden Cyclone's connections failed, Martin also had news on another three of his charges.

He said: "In other early-closing races we entered Ted Veale in the Arkle (Leopardstown, January 26) and we put Savello and Lastoftheleaders into the Dan Moore (Fairyhouse, January 19)."
