Pady set for National prep Forpadydeplasterer will have his final outing before the Grand National when running over timber at Leopardstown this Sunday. Tom Cooper's charge will line up in the Ballsbridge Hurdle before having a crack at the famous Aintree showpiece. The 11-year-old returned to winning ways this season when scoring at Thurles in November and was running well at Clonmel earlier this month before testing conditions took their toll. Copper is looking forward to better ground this spring for the former Arkle winner. “He's in great form and he'll run on Sunday to sharpen him up. The plan is the Grand National,” said Cooper today. “The ground was atrocious at Clonmel last time, unraceable, but it should be more to his liking on Sunday. Cooper admits the extreme test of the Grand National is something of an unknown with his stable stalwart:- “A bit of nice ground would help. There should be no problem with his jumping and they say you want a two-and-a-half mile horse to get four-and-a-half. “I've no idea if he will stay – it's a bit of a shot in the dark.”
