Park Ready For Irish Derby

French raider Walk In The Park has pleased trainer John Hammond in the build up to Sunday´s Budweiser Irish Derby at the Curragh.

After flying home to fill the runner-up spot behind Motivator in the Vodafone Derby earlier this month, the Montjeu colt will lock horns with fellow Gallic challenger Hurricane Run in this weekend´s Classic.

After Walk In The Park worked in Chantilly, Hammond told the Racing Post:

'Walk In The Park did a nice gallop and basically breezed five furlongs as they went steady in the first part.

'I´ve got massive respect for Hurricane Run, as I think that he is a really good horse and worthy favourite, but we´ll make a race of it.'
