Passenger heads Thursday's Dee Stakes at Chester Passenger will compete in Listed company in Thursday's Boodles Dee Stakes at Chester. Sir Michael Stoute's charge made his racecourse debut in impressive style, winning the Wood Ditton Maiden Stakes at Newmarket last month by three lengths in comfortable fashion. Although he is not currently entered for the Betfred Derby, Passenger is priced at 25-1 for the Epsom Classic and seeks to emulate Kris Kin who won the Dee for Stoute in 2003 before being supplemented and winning the highlight of the Flat season. Aidan O’Brien and Donnacha O’Brien will both saddle contenders in the extended 10-furlong heat. Cork winner Alder will run for Donnacha, while Aidan is fielding Dundalk maiden victor San Antonio. Charlie Appleby's Local Dynasty along with Afterwards, Lose Your Wad, Stormbuster, and Hadrianus will complete the field. Changingoftheguard, who won the Chester Vase for Aidan O'Brien at last year's meeting, will return to the track in the Ormonde Stakes. Last year's winner Hamish will attempt to defend his Ormonde title, while Max Vega and Lone Eagle, third and fifth in the John Porter, will renew their rivalry. Enemy, Israr, Old Harrovian, and Sunchart are the other contenders.
