Connections of Rose De Pierre are in no rush to make grand plans for the future following her debut victory at the Curragh earlier this month.

The daughter of super-stallion Dubawi is out of the smart mare Profound Beauty, who won nine races for owner-breeders Moyglare Stud Farm and trainer Dermot Weld between 2007 and 2010.

Rose De Pierre showed a good attitude to make a successful introduction and to avoid temptation, connections took her out of the Irish 1,000 Guineas.

She does still hold an entry in the Irish Oaks, however.

Fiona Craig, breeding advisor to the owners, said: "She's a nice filly, but she's very green.

"We were surprised to see her win first time, to be honest, and we decided to put her in a field at Moyglare for a few weeks after that.

"If we hadn't put her in the field, we might have ended up running in a Guineas, but she's been slow to come to hand and we didn't want to throw her in at the deep end.

"Profound Beauty didn't really come into her own until she was a four-year-old and this filly might be similar.

"I don't know what our expectations are, but like her mother, she might need a bit of give in the ground."

Asked about a tilt at the Irish Oaks, Craig added: "I'm not sure - it might be a bit ambitious.

"I think she'll go back to Dermot's fairly soon and we'll see where we are with her after that."

It has been a quiet year for Moyglare so far and Craig admits the team is in for a low-key year.

She said: "Last year we went to Royal Ascot with two favourites in Free Eagle and Forgotten Rules. This year we'll be going for a glass of champagne in the car park!

"That's just the way it goes sometimes. We've been lucky to have a few good years and the horses we had high hopes for this season have either come up short or had issues.

"Forgotten Rules will be back in the autumn."
