Patrick Mullins will link up with Dan Skelton for the first time when he partners Whitewinewednesday at Market Rasen on Thursday.

The record-breaking amateur will be paying a first visit to Lincolnshire circuit as he continues his quest to ride a winner at every National Hunt track in Britain.

Whitewinewednesday has played her part already when scoring over hurdles a Sedgefield last week and switches to the larger obstacles in the Malton Marquees Novices' Handicap Chase

In a twist, however, she has just been transferred from Willie Mullins to the man who denied him a third consecutive British trainers' championship last season.

“I'm looking forward to Whitewinewednesday at Market Rasen. She just won over hurdles in Sedgefield, but she has won a point-to-point so she should be able to carry a big weight over fences on the track hopefully,” said Mullins.

“The plan had been to run her at a few tracks around the middle of the UK so rather than going over and back or having to leave someone in UK, I thought it would be easier for her to stay with the Skeltons geographically for a few weeks.

“I'm only about halfway through the courses, but hopefully she can tick off another one or two for me and maybe help Dan with his record attempt too. It'll be some fun one way or the other!”

Skelton is fast approaching a century for the season as he chases Martin Pipe's record of 243 winners in a single campaign.
