Art Of Payroll is likely to go for the Paddy Power Handicap Chase at Leopardstown on December 27 as long as the ground is not too testing.

Trainer Sandra Hughes is keen to step Art Of Payroll up to three miles after being pleased with how he stayed two and three-quarter miles at Punchestown last month.

The seven-year-old has since finished third behind Peoples Park over two miles and one furlong at Fairyhouse where it looked as though he would benefit from a longer distance.

"Art Of Payroll will go for the Paddy Power Chase if the ground is good or yielding," said Hughes.

"He stayed two-mile six at Punchestown, and I think he needs a bit of a trip.

"He just can't handle heavy ground at all, so the ground will be the main factor."
