Pending makes good impression on debut Value Pending looked a nice prospect when quickening up smartly to make a winning start on her official debut at Dundalk this evening. The Joseph O’Brien-trained filly had finished third in a barrier trial at Leopardstown last month but went to post a 12/1. Joey Sheridan held his mount up from her wide draw in 14 and delivered her to lead passing the furlong pole. The daughter of Harry Angel soon settled matters, going on to post a length-and-a-half win over 50/1 shot Thumama Glory. “Obviously being drawn widest of all, her life wasn’t made easy for her,” said Sheridan. “She was very professional at home but to do it first time out around here, after being drawn out there, was a good effort. “She went through the race with plenty of class. I think there is plenty of improvement too. “The experience from the barrier trial was probably a big asset to her but she was still very professional. I liked her.”
