Peppertree tackles Lingfield Seller Former Curragh Cup winner Peppertree Lane makes his Irish debut for trainer Emmet Butterly at Lingfield this afternoon, where the nine year old is expected to start a warm order for the lingfield.co.uk Selling Stakes. Donegal based Butterly has an impressive strike rate in Britain (6 wins from 15 runners in the last two seasons) and has sound claims with Group 3 winner Peppertree Lane. The nine year old gelding did prove disappointing when sent hurdling in 2008 but did miss all of 2010. However the gelding did record his first win over jumps last season and has since moved to Butterly's care. Butterly said "he has all the ticks in all the right boxes and though there's no such thing as a certainty, I'd be confident of a good run."
