Playboy on the sidelines Smart dual purpose performer Party Playboy is facing a long road to recovery after sustaining a serious tendon injury late last year. Tony Mullins' charge was narrowly denied in the Cesarewitch at Newmarket last October before an impressive win over timber at Fairyhouse the following month. The German-bred son of Samum hasn't been seen on the racetrack since and it could be a while before he makes a reappearance. “Party Playboy injured his tendon and had stem cell treatment,” said Mullins. “He had a summer scan and they are happy with it but you are always juggling Waterford Glass after having a leg.    “We are hoping for the best but it was a serious tendon injury. “I’d say he won’t be ridden out until Christmas and you won’t see him until about April next year.”
