Plenty of choice for Top Gamble connections Top Gamble appears unlikely to tackle the Paddy's Rewards Club Chase at Leopardstown on December 27. Trainer Kerry Lee is considering swerving an outing in the Grade One contest in favour of a number of options back in Britain. After pulling up on his seasonal return at Ascot, the nine-year-old returned to form when finishing second in a Grade Two at Cork earlier this month. Lee said: "The options are wide open. He is in the Grade One at Leopardstown on the 27th, but I think although he ran very well at Cork, he was comprehensively beaten by Un De Sceaux and I would not be in a hurry to take him on again. "He will have entries everywhere. I am looking at the Desert Orchid, the Castleford and there is also the Clarence House. " I'd say the main target again will be the Game Spirit in February where he beat Dodging Bullets last year. "It is just a case seeing where the best ground for him is above everything else, as he has to have it genuinely soft. "It is great picking up decent prize money, but I am very keen to get his head in front. He has come out of his last race really well. "We will keep plans pretty fluid. He is ready to race, he just needs everything to fall into place."
