Plenty of options for Gordon Lord Byron Trainer Tom Hogan will weigh up the options for Gordon Lord Byron after his thrilling victory in the Prix de la Foret at Longchamp on Sunday. The four-year-old was supplemented into the Foret after having finished second to Society Rock in the Haydock Sprint Cup, and the decision paid off handsomely. Gordon Lord Byron now has a number of possible overseas assignments, including a tilt at the Breeders' Cup Mile, but connections are in no rush. "It cost 18,000 euro to supplement, and 25% of him was leased to a Swiss businessman for the day who has broodmares in Ireland," said County Tipperary-based Hogan. "He's been invited to enter for the Hong Kong Mile and he's been invited out to Dubai in the spring. "By winning on Sunday he's also got a free entry for the Breeders' Cup Mile. "I'll have a chat with the owner before the end of the week. "The most likely thing we'll do is give him a bit of time and see how he comes out of this. "The Hong Kong race is on December 9 so we'll see how he is when he gets back. "The way he ran, you'd say he'd have no trouble staying a mile. "He hated the ground yesterday. He didn't travel at all well in the early part of the race - he needs better ground. "I've never had a horse like him, that's for sure. "My other good horses like Common World and Silver Jaro, my Cheltenham winner, all joined me having had problems with someone else. "This lad I've had from the beginning and I've been able to train him how I wanted. "We've certainly got plenty of options now."
