Plumpton and Taunton get the green-light Officials at Taunton have given Monday's meeting the go-ahead after possible snow failed to materialise overnight. Frost covers were deployed at the track but the possibility of snow prompted them to call a 8am inspection. However, they were able to give the green light earlier than planned with the ground set to ride soft. This afternoon's meeting at Plumpton goes ahead as planned after the track passed an inspection. Officials had planned to check conditions at 8am but were able to give the meeting the thumbs up much earlier than planned as there was no frost in the ground. The track tweeted: "Racing is ON at Plumpton today. Gates open 12 noon." The going is reported to be soft, heavy in places.
