Sole Power and Maarek lead the Irish challenge for the Prix de l'Abbaye, for which 23 horses are still in the hat, at Longchamp on Sunday.

Eddie Lynam's charge will be hoping to go two places better this year after just failing to get up when a close third last term.

Maarek comes into the race after finishing a fine third in the Ayr Gold Cup last time.

July Cup winner Mayson and last year's hero Tangerine Trees are part of a strong British contingent.

Swiss Spirit, Borderlescott, and Spirit Quartz are also among the huge overseas party, with Wizz Kid the sole French interest.

John Oxx's Saddler's Rock is one of 14 possible runners in the Prix du Cadran.

The Goodwood Cup winner could be joined in the line-up by Ascot Gold Cup hero Colour Vision.

Goodwood runner-up Askar Tau has been confirmed, while High Jinx, who was second in the Lonsdale and the Doncaster Cup, could also make the final field.

Moyglare winner Sky Lantern and Ballydoyle's Magical Dream are amongst the big names for the Prix Marcel Boussac.

Purr Along, Agent Allison and My Special J's add further interest.

Aidan O'Brien dominates the Prix Jean-Luc Lagardere with five entries, which include Cristoforo Colombo, with Ashdan and Taayel from the John Gosden yard having also been confirmed.

Richard Hannon's Olympic Glory and the David Lanigan-trained No Jet Lag also have the option.

The Gosden duo of The Fugue and Izzi Top spearhead the British raiding party in the Prix de l'Opera, for which 17 horses remain.

Roger Varian's Ambivalent and the Ed Dunlop-trained Testosterone are also among the entries.

Eleven, including the O'Brien-trained Starspangledbanner and Clive Cox's Lethal Force, are still in contention for the Prix de la Foret.
