Precautionary Inspection for Down Royal The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board has announced that there will be a precautionary inspection of the course at Down Royal on Tuesday morning at 7.45am to determine if racing can take place. This is due to an adverse weather forecast with temperatures expected to drop to -3 degrees overnight. The going at Down Royal is currently described as Yielding to Soft (Soft in places). Met Eireann is predicting some showers of sleet this evening and similar weather tomorrow with a maximum temperature of 6 degrees. The first of seven races at Down Royal tomorrow is scheduled for 1.20pm.
