Prendergast double-handed in Moyglare

Kevin Prendergast is upbeat about the prospects of his two runners in the Group 1 Moyglare Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Sunday.

The Friarstown trainer saddles the promising Termagant, winner of her only start when accounting for Aidan O'Brien's well-regarded Cabaret at Leopardstown, and the more experienced Wrong Answer in the seven furlongs fillies event.

"We are expecting both of them to run well. The going is very testing and I think Wrong Answer will have the better chance in the ground. She's handled it before," he said.

"The other one is a good-ground filly but we are going to let her take her chance. If she handles the conditions she will go very well."

Aidan O'Brien is double-handed with likely hot favourite Lillie Langtry and Famous, while Jim Bolger runs both Gile Na Greine and Gold Bubbles.

Long Lashes, formerly trained in Ireland by Jessica Harrington but now under the Godolphin banner at Newmarket, completes the seven-horse line-up.

One runner missing is the Clive Brittain-trained Cherry Hinton winner, Misheer. Bruce Raymond, racing manager to owner Saeed Manana, said: "It's the ground - she has form on soft ground but I believe it is heavy ground, and Irish heavy ground at that. It's a long way until the Cheveley Park, so hopefully we will find something else for her in between."
