Prince picks Powers Paul Nolan has confirmed Cheltenham winner Noble Prince on course for Sunday's Powers Gold Cup at Fairyhouse. Nolan had been weighing up options for the Jewson winner with Punchestown also on the cards for the seven-year-old. But the promise of safe ground at Fairyhouse has swayed the Enniscorthy handler to let his charge line up in the €90,000 Grade 1 event this weekend. “Our intention is to run in the Powers Gold Cup on Sunday,” revealed Nolan today. “Peter Roe (Fairyhouse manager) rang this morning and told me they were commencing watering and they are hoping for good safe National Hunt ground. “The forecast is very good so they will need to do a lot of watering.” Nolan has four entered in the Irish National on Monday but See U Bob is the only one that could line up for the marathon contest. “Sam Adams unfortunately is out injured and most likely we won't run Clan Tara. Shuil Aris is also out,” added Nolan. “We'll have to speak to Frank (Berry) about See U Bob. He was due to run at Gowran (on Sunday) but unfortunately the chase track was a little bit rough on take off and landing so we took him out. We'll make our mind about about him in the next few days.” Gary Carson
