Des McDonogh is looking forward to running nice prospect Pack The Punch at Galway on Wednesday.

The four-year-old Teofilo gelding won a Roscommon bumper on his first racecourse appearance and was second to the potentially high-class Windsor Park at Ballybrit in August.

Seen as a long-term chasing type, he is set to face recent winners Lyrical Theatre (who scored by 20 lengths on debut for Willie Mullins), Sheamus, Double Speak and Princely Conn.

McDonogh said: "I do think a bit of him. The last day in Galway he was coming back to two miles from two and a half miles and I think the two and a quarter on Wednesday will suit him. He handled Galway OK the last day.

"A horse he beat in Roscommon, Our Sox, came out and won in Down Royal. Depending on how Wednesday goes he could go for another bumper. It looks a very good race. We'll school him in the next few weeks to see about going over hurdles or fences."

Stablemate Morga, who is rated 96 on the Flat, switches back to the level after a couple of timber runs and is entered for the Northfields Handicap at the Curragh next Sunday.

McDonogh said: "We'll see if she runs. She had a bad experience in Bellewstown, but she seems to be fine.

"She's one of those beautiful horses that you can campaign over hurdles and on the Flat.

"She was fourth in a Group Three at Cork in June and a neck away from third in a Group Three at Naas won by Tarfasha. She is on her rating."
