Punchestown festival winner returns to form Trainer Gavin Cromwell completed a Fairyhouse double today, as his former Punchestown festival winner Bud Fox (9/2) returned to form in winning the Sign Up To GavinLynchRacing.com Maiden Hurdle. Successful both a point-to-point and Punchestown festival bumper on his initial two starts, the son of Walk In The Park had failed in four previous attempts over hurdles but today travelled well under Keith Donoghue, and finished strongly to score by eight lengths from Quest For Answers . Cromwell, earlier successful with the Conor Stone-Walsh partnered Espritroyale, reported “we had a disaster of a year with him last year and while he has shown just signs of promise on the first couple of runs this year, in the last three weeks he has turned a corner. Hopefully we have him back now. “It's been hard to plan with him the way it's gone, but hopefully can make plans now." Cromwell later completed a treble with My Good Pal . Quotes from John O’Riordan
