Purview could face Ballydoyle battalion at Leopardstown The Dermot Weld-trained Purview could take on a Ballydoyle battalion in the Cashel Palace Hotel Derby Trial Stakes at Leopardstown on Sunday. The Epsom and Irish Derby entrant was a well-backed winner on debut at Dundalk in November, with this race earmarked by Chris Hayes in the immediate aftermath. One of eight in the mix for this Group 3 prize, he could be joined by no less than five Aidan O'Brien-trained contenders, with the 116-rated Delacroix the standout among them. "He's interesting and it will tell us a lot about him," Weld said of the Juddmonte-owned bay at Gowran on Wednesday. "It looks like it will be a good renewal of the race with horses rated 116 and 110. "He's pleasing us at home. We'll see how he gets on and it will tell us where we are going with him."
