Push Primed For Silver Service

Jonjo O'Neill's smart chaser Don't Push It could make his seasonal reappearance over hurdles in the #40,000 Intercasino Silver Trophy at Chepstow on October 27.

Sent off at odds of 4-1 for the Arkle at Cheltenham in March, he was travelling strongly before falling two fences from home.

The seven-year-old is favourably treated over hurdles ? with the Silver Trophy used last year as a starting point for Taranis, who subsequently won the Ryanair Chase at Prestbury Park.

'He was entered to run this weekend but we decided against it,' said O'Neill.

'He's not far off a run though. He might go back to Chepstow in a fortnight for a two-and-a-half-mile handicap.

'We've made no solid plan for him but he is one that could go that way because he likes going left-handed.

'He might be a chaser and be better handicapped over hurdles but if he can win a 40-grand race, I don't care what his game is supposed to be!

'He's got plenty of toe and we probably ended up doing the wrong thing last year.

'He might not go there (to Chepstow) but it is an option.'
