Push The Boat Out gets off the mark on debut The Michael O'Callaghan-trained Push The Boat Out (16/1), the son of Kodi Bear, was supported before the off (22/1-16/1) and made a good impression first time of asking under jockey Colin Keane. Racing on the stands side throughout, it looked an evenly run race throughout and, under a drive from Keane, the grey colt responded well under pressure to see off the fast-finishing Marco Polo to win by one and a quarter lengths. Speaking after the race, rider Colin Keane said: "A lovely colt. He's a horse Michael liked coming here today. He thought he was a little bit undercooked and would step forward from today. So if he can do that when he's undercooked, he'll be a lovely horse when he's fully cooked! He travelled very easily. If anything, if they went a bit quicker it would have suited him better again.
