Queally hoping it will be 3rd time lucky for Elyaadi Elyaadi will attempt to go one place better than for the last two years when she lines up in Tuesday's Ascot Stakes at the Royal meeting. John Queally's experienced mare was beaten by Junior in this two-and-a-half-mile handicap back in 2010 and stepped up in trip 12 months ago to take second to Swingkeel in the Queen Alexandra Stakes. Back over hurdles during the winter, she returned from a break to finish a third in a mile and three-quarter conditions race at Listowel earlier this month. "She's going to run on Tuesday and Fran Berry will ride," said Queally. "She just seems to find one too good there but she's in good form and hopefully she'll run another good race." The event often goes to a jumper, with Nicky Henderson winning last year with Veiled. Veiled is entered again, while other top National Hunt handlers like David Pipe, Willie Mullins (Mourad & Simenon) and even Paul Nicholls (American Trilogy) have put horses in the race.
