Queally makes no excuses for Midday Tom Queally is offering no excuses for Midday's shock defeat at the Curragh last weekend. Sir Henry Cecil's charge was an odds-on favourite for the Pretty Polly Stakes but was no match for Misty For Me who slammed her by six lengths. Writing in his www.racinguk.com blog the jockey said: "The ground might have been a bit holding for her but there were no real excuses - you can't have when you're beaten six lengths - and the (Aidan) O'Brien filly surprised us all. "She's always game and gallant and never throws in a stinker, so I don't think she should get a hard time for the run, and she'll hopefully have her day this season." Queally expects So You Think to win Saturday's Coral-Eclipse but admits it won't be straightforward for the former Australian star. "It looks a cracking race, and while I would probably side with So You Think, he's taking on a Derby and Arc hero in Workforce, and Snow Fairy, who went from strength to strength, ending up with wins in two of the top international races. So I certainly don't think it'll be easy for the favourite," he added.
