Queally relishing Frankel ride

Tom Queally is confident Frankel can again rise to the occasion in the St James's Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot on Tuesday.

The jockey partnered the colt to a blistering QIPCO 2000 Guineas victory and the combination are as low as 1-4 to bag another Group One prize next week.

Connections have been pleased with the Henry Cecil-trained colt since Newmarket and the jockey told Racing UK Radio: "Reports have been very good from home, and he has come out of his race very well.

"His brilliance at Newmarket, well it was amazing - it made for a very special moment. People were blown away by it and will remember what he did that day for a long time to come.

"I've met old men who have been watching racing for many, many years, and they said they'd never seen anything like it.

"I got a feel off him that I've never experienced from a horse before - and I ride dozens of horses every week.

"Frankel and I had opened up a big gap, but it did not feel as if we were blitzing it, as he was doing it all within himself, and of course he finished off the race well too.

"Some jockeys will never ride a horse half as good as Frankel, so I am in a very privileged position. But I still have a job to do and have to treat him like any other horse.

"If he is as good as he was at Newmarket then that will be good enough for Ascot, hopefully he can put on a show and keep his unblemished record intact."
