Queen Mother On The Agenda For Justified

Eamonn Sheehy is seriously considering running Justified in the Seasons Holidays Queen Mother Champion Chase.

Although the eight-year-old has a slightly less daunting entry at the Cheltenham Festival in the Ryanair Chase over a longer distance, he could end up taking on the crack two-milers on March 14.

'We are probably aiming more towards the Queen Mother than the Ryanair,' said the County Kilkenny trainer.

'It's not gospel that he'll go for the Queen Mother, but we are leaning more that way.

'We're very pleased with him and everything is going according to plan.'

Sheehy was most encouraged by Justified's latest run following a setback when he was beaten 15 lengths by Nickname at Fairyhouse a month ago.

'He's going to improve from that run. He'd missed some work as he had a problem which we've sorted out,' he added.

The Leading Counsel gelding had been pulled up with back trouble on his previous start behind In Compliance at Punchestown in December.

Justified is generally available at 25-1 for the Champion Chase and around 16-1 for the Ryanair Chase.
