Quill pencilled in for Minstrel Bold Thady Quill could return to action in the Friarstown Stud Minstrel Stakes at the Curragh on July 19 should the ground be suitable. Trainer Ken Condon is hoping for a little ease for his evergreen eight-year-old, who was last seen winning a one-mile handicap at Naas in late April. "We might have him ready to go for the Minstrel Stakes but he doesn't want the ground too fast," said the County Kildare handler. "We're waiting on the ground for him a little bit, but he's fine."
