The Henry De Bromhead trained Raglan Road won for the second time over fences when staying on best to land the Jim Ryan Memorial Novice Chase at Punchestown.

Sent off 13/8 under Mike O'Connor, the JP McManus owned gelding sat last of the three runners for most of the race.

Coming through to lead at the final fence, the Soldier Of Fortune gelding kept on well to score by two-and-a-half lengths.

Trainer Henry De Bromhead said: "Delighted with that. Mike was great on him. He saw out the trip well and, it was a nice run. It was great to see him win today and, we'll see where we'll go.

"He got run off his feet a little bit here the last day but obviously the three-miles suited him and, we'll stick to that trip I'd say".
