Rain expected at the Curragh this morning The Curragh is expecting some rain this morning ahead of today’s Group 1 Pretty Polly Stakes, with the first of eight races taking place at 1.45pm. Following the recent dry and warm spell, the going at the Kildare course is currently good to firm, although 6mm of rain is possible this morning and a mainly dry tomorrow, for the Dubai Duty Free Irish Derby. There are five yards of fresh racing ground for both today and tomorrow, with English Oaks-winner Thundering On taking centre stage for today’s Paddy Power-sponsored Pretty Polly Stakes following her recent impressive Epsom success.
