Rain rules Goldream out of Haydock run Goldream will head straight to Royal Ascot after connections decided to bypass today's Temple Stakes at Haydock. The seven-year-old has been ruled out of the five-furlong heat after conditions eased to good, good to soft in places at the Merseyside venue. Trainer Robert Cowell will now look towards next month's King's Stand Stakes at Ascot, a race Goldream won in 2015. Cowell tweeted: "Goldream is a non runner today on account of the recent rain. He'll head straight to Royal Ascot to defend his crown." Other non-runners in the race include Sole Power (going), Cotai Glory (going) Take Cover (not qualified) and Iffranesia (in season).
