Rambo shoots down 300/1 shot Johnny Rambo put an early fall at Cork behind him when getting up late on to win the McDonald & Son Builders Maiden Hurdle for trainer Donncha Duggan at Tramore this evening. The Alan O’Sullivan-ridden 4/1 chance headed Padraig Butler’s front-running 300/1 shot Pinkarizon at the final hurdle and drew clear inside the final 50 yards to score by two and a half lengths. The four-year-old was adding to a bumper success at Kilbeggan in June. Duggan commented, “He's a fair horse to do what he did (carrying the winners' penalty). Even in Kilbeggan, with so little track experience, it was a hell of a performance. “He was just unlucky the last day at Cork. A horse outside him was under the whip and set him alight. He launched at the hurdle, stepped at it and clipped the top. “Overall, he's a very, very good jumper.
