Rappell strikes on all-weather debut The View Restaurant At Dundalk Stadium Apprentice Handicap produced an exciting finish with Rappell (9/2, from 7s before the off) getting up in the final stride under Keithen Kennedy.  Three times a winner on turf last year, the Paddy Maguire-owned four-year-old was having his first outing on the all-weather and came from off the pace to get into contention inside the final furlong. Strong-travelling outsider Masked Angel had been produced to lead at that point but Rappell saw his race out a little better to pip that rival by a short head.  Trainer Paul Flynn said: "He definitely stays six furlongs well and it was his first time on the all-weather.  "He keeps a bit to himself. We were hoping he was going to be a lot better this year and just not quite good enough, maybe.  "We will keep him going for a while. He might go to the sales, you wouldn't know. He might even come to a claimer here next month. "He's grand, but he's not as good as we thought he was going to be." Additional reporting by Michael Graham
