Rare Times & Slevin land plenty of bets The well-backed favourite Rare Times (4/1 this morning and 15/8 into 6/5 in the show) justified that support in Down Royal's Dale Farm Dromona (Mares) Maiden Hurdle over two miles and a furlong. Having raced in second, the daughter of Affinisea went on after three out to beat Jo's Secret by two and a quarter lengths. The 95-rated winner, owned by Ger and Mary Mullins in partnership with trainer Mags Mullins, had been beaten a neck in a Tramore handicap on her previous start. "Danny (Mullins) fancied her, he was trying to get a helicopter! He thought about it anyway, so he really fancied her, and she has done it well, said winning rider JJ Slevin. "Ground is pretty dry out there, but she has loads of experience and she likes that ground and she was good.
