Trained by Mouse Morris, Rathlin progressed into a smart novice chaser, winning three on the bounce before his winning run was brought to an end by the potentially top-class Flemenstar. "There's a race for Rathlin at Down Royal on the same day as the James Nicholson, it's for second-season novices," said Morris. "He wasn't far off the best of them last season by the end, he was second to Flemenstar in the Powers Gold Cup. "We've plenty of empty boxes, but the ones that are full are full of talent." None advertise that fact better than Baily Green who won his fifth race on the bounce in the Grade Three novice chase at Roscommon last week. "There's not a bother on him," said Morris. "I was going to let him down but he's in such great form I might give him one more race somewhere."
