Reflectionist doesn't look back Mark Fahey’s Reflectionist (50/1) sprang a surprise In the Racing, Sports & Games At Tote.ie Apprentice Handicap this evening at Ballinrobe. The nine-year-old gelding was a maiden on the level before tonight, but surged clear of his rivals in ready fashion to score by seven and a half lengths, with in-form trainer Patrick Magee’s Wingit (15/2) back in second. She was a further two and a quarter lengths clear of Masego (6/4) who was a rather disappointing favourite. Joe Harnett said "I ride him in all his work and know what he's like. The cheekpieces seemed to help and this is a good trip for him. "The plan was to be forward and make the running, but that didn't happen and I'd to go to Plan B and just sit mid-division. "I moved up handier on the outer three out and when I asked him two out, he put the race to bed and hit the line good and strong." Additional reporting by Mark Nunan
