Rio on the way back

Rio De La Plata is on the comeback trail following a year on the sidelines, and could reappear at York's Ebor meeting next month.

The Godolphin star finished third in the Prix Jean Prat at Chantilly on his final start in 2008 after finishing second in the French 2000 Guineas.

"He is back in full work now after a respiratory problem," racing manager Simon Crisford told At The Races.

"He will be back in the second half of the season and is a very exciting horse to look forward to." Rio De La Plata holds an engagement in the Juddmonte International at York in August.
