Robbie Power discusses his 3 rides at Cheltenham on Saturday BoyleSports Racing ambassador Robbie Power gives us his thoughts on his three rides for Colin Tizzard at Cheltenham on Saturday and how he thinks Paisley Park will perform in the Cleeve Hurdle. 2.25 Cheltenham — Slate House Slate House was very impressive when he won in Kempton on St Stephens Day. He’s stepping out of novice company and it’s obviously a step-up in class. Bristol De Mai is a hell of a good horse and hasn’t run since finishing 2nd to Lostintranslation at Haydock. It’s a big step-up for Slate House but hopefully he’s up to it. He’s got plenty of experience and age is on his side so hopefully he can run a big race. 3.00 Cheltenham — Harry Senior Harry Senior was a good winner at Chepstow on Welsh Grand National day. It was very frustrating at Warwick when he had to be withdrawn before the start. This looks a decent novice hurdle and the step up to 2 & ½ will definitely suit him and hopefully he has a good chance. 3.35 Cheltenham — Cleeve Hurdle All eyes will be on Paisley Park who missed his intended target at Ascot due to ground conditions so it’ll be interesting to see how he gets on. Benie Des Dieux has laid down a strong marker for the Stayers Hurdle and if Paisley Park wants to hang on to favouritism for the Stayers Hurdle he’ll have to put in a good performance. 4.10 Cheltenham — Ainchea I won a novice hurdle on Ainchea a couple of years ago at Sandown and is a horse we thought an awful lot of. He took a heavy fall on his next start at Sandown and he was off the track for nearly two years before his return at Sandown just before Christmas. He will have improved a hell of a lot for that run and if he has 80% of the ability we thought he had a couple of years ago he won’t be far away.
