Robinson misses rides

Philip Robinson, who won the Queen Alexandra Stakes on Life Is Life at the Royal meeting, is feeling unwell and has given up his three rides at Ascot today.

Shippy Ellis, his agent, said: 'He was not feeling all that good yesterday, when he was coughing a lot, and things have got quite a lot worse overnight. He could hardly talk this morning and is staying in bed.

'I would think that it is pretty unlikely that he will be able to ride tomorrow, either, though it obviously depends on how quickly things clear up. Sometimes with these summer bugs you can get over them quite rapidly, far more so than in the winter.'

Robinson has been replaced by Richard Mullen on Indian Prince in the Palan Stakes, while Brett Doyle takes over on both Invader in the Ladbroke Stakes and Silver Bracelet in the Alfred Franks And Bartlett Sunglasses EBF Classified Stakes.
