Rock Jock books his place at York

Rock Jock is set to return to Britain for York's August meeting thanks to his gallant effort at Royal Ascot.

The three-year-old colt belied his odds of 28-1 to take third place behind Rainfall in the Group Three Jersey Stakes over seven furlongs.

Trainer Tracey Collins is now looking at the Sky Bet City of York Stakes over the same distance at the Knavesmire on August 20.

"He ran a cracker and we're delighted with him. He's come out of it very well," said the Curragh handler.

"He's just having a little break at the moment and we will probably send him back to York for the seven-furlong Listed race."
