Philip Rothwell and Shane O'Callaghan teamed up with Rockbrook to land the SIS Supporting Irish Racing Rated Novice Chase at Tramore.

Despite having a bit to find on official ratings, the GVD Syndicate-owned 17/2 chance put his previous experience to good use, making most and jumping well.

Strongly pressed by Cappucino from two out, the eventual winner found extra when joined at the last, battling on bravely on the run-in to win by three-quarters-of-a-length.

Shane O'Callaghan said: "The tight, undulating track here suits him. He got his own way out in front and it wasn't by any means a hard race on him. He got control and done what he wanted. He won snugly enough in the end.

"I've been going down to Philip's on a Saturday for the last couple of months. He was putting me up on plenty before that anyway, so I said I'd call down and start giving him a hand because he's increasing his numbers, so it's working out for both of us.

"I think I've five winners left on my 5lb claim now and if I get that down by the end of the season I'll be happy enough."
