Rocky's Diamond set to make his return next month One of the real success stories of last season, Rocky's Diamond will most likely have his next start of the new campaign towards the beginning of November. Winner of a handicap hurdle off a mark of 123 at Gowran Park last October, the Declan Queally trained gelding finished third in a Grade 1 at Leopardstown over Christmas on his next appearance. Raised 15lb for that effort, he proved he was worthy of the hike when returning to Gowran Park to win the Grade 2 Galmoy Hurdle in January. Later a respectable fourth in the Stayers' Hurdle at Cheltenham, Rocky's Diamond made a winning start to his chasing career at Galway last month. Declan Queally junior said: "Rocky's Diamond worked on Friday and is really well. He is good and heavy in himself, so we have plenty left to work with and he will probably run in the next five or six weeks. We're delighted with him. "I'm not 100% sure where he runs next as there aren't many races for those higher-rated horses, they have Graded all the novice chases. The Drinmore is on my mind but I'll see closer to the time." "We're looking at either Cheltenham in November or to go to Navan for a Graded race for I'll Sort That and Carrigmoornaspruce will go for the Feathard Lady Hurdle (Down Royal). They both worked on Saturday morning and I'm delighted with them." Additional reporting by Thomas Weekes.
