Roscommon to inspect chase track ADDITIONAL RACE =============== CLOSING 12 NOON THURSDAY 30th JULY ---------------------------------- ROSCOMMON, Tuesday 4th August ----------------------------- As the Chase track at Roscommon is currently unfit for racing ahead of Tuesday August 4th fixture, the following hurdle race has been added to the card and will be divided in the event of the Chase track not passing a further inspection at 8am on Monday. (Meeting No. 203, Race H) The J.F.Hanley Group M'dn H'dl (8,000) A hurdle for four yrs old and upwards,maidens at starting that have not won a *race (MAIDENS ALL RULES) About two miles 56 to enter, 16 if declared to run Weights: 4YO 11st 7lb; 5 11st 12lb Mares allowed 5lb *Including races under any National Hunt Rules or Rules of Racing. The ground at Galway meanwhile appears to have dried out appreciably and the flat/hurdle track walked no worse than yielding, at about midday. There is a beautiful fresh strip in use.
