A 12-length winner on his previous start at Sligo, Calm Flight Ahead (4/1)followed up when making all in Downpatrick's Randox Handicap Hurdle over two and a quarter miles.

Dairy Force closed after the last and got to within a couple of lengths of Shane O'Callaghan's mount halfway up the run-in, but could get no closer as the Wings Of Eagles gelding held on to post a two-length victory.

"Blinkers worked and he won well the last day at Sligo,” said winning trainer Philip Rothwell.

"He got a big penalty and he has backed it up - good ride.

"For sale now. He'll be a nice horse over fences, but the owners (Phidelma Elvin and Donal Keane) are keen to sell and keep moving."
